Welcome to my blog

My interest in writing, especially poetry came to be when I was in my senior year in secondary school, when I was introduced to the world of prose and poetry of famous figures in literature. With the likes of Elizabeth Barrett Browning, Cristina Georgina Rosetti, Edgar Allan Poe, to name a few. Their poetry influenced me and inspired me to follow their themes and moods. As I go through my writing and develop my skill, I want to share my poetry to the rest of the people who will get to be interested on my poems, I just wish that somehow in my own little way I have contributed even just a stray of inspiration to those who are like me, wanted to be a part of poetry world. So I want to welcome every one of you, whether you're a visitor by accident or by design; and for acquiantances, this is the other side of me; here's hoping that you'll be able to get a glimpse of me through the pages of my poetry as you read between the lines...

Faded Photographs

Beneath the dawning light of the autumn sun
Where the tranquil air slowly breathed;
Gentle breeze caresses the lonely strands,
Blowing along where thoughts drifted.

As brooding eyes gazes over cloudy pages,
And quivering hands tinkered along each shadowed faces;
The heart slowly remembers,
Drifting along and wander.

These photographs of once sweet past,
Would bring along memories of how it used to be,
Though faded it may be.

Even if the mind tries to forget;
Those once innocent dreams,
Of a long gone yesterday
The heart would not follow,
And memories would not let go.

For in it's reminiscence
Of what could have been,
From these faded photographs,
Where the promise of a faded yesterday lives.

When Love was Gone

Yesterday, I've had my share,
Of blissful moments with someone who care
A love that was in full bloom was there
Thoughts of regret I wouldn't dare
Life then was so fair.

Shared dreams and aspirations abound
As if love will always be around
For beyond forever it will be,
A promise you do pledge to me,
Though I never thought you'd soon ask to be free.

The road to forget is hardest to take,
My heart bleeds for every step that I make;
Open spaces of reason for your sake,
Have been a hard habit that's hard to break...
when love was gone.

Even then again I'm praying,
Time will come, I'll forget that I'm hurting
For when love is gone and my crying is done;
Then I would know, the right one will come
when love has gone.

A Time To Heal

Across the mile I have travelled
Been through the distance, I shall believe
Tears have rolled down my cheeks
More than enough to last a lifetime
My eyes have dried on it's own will.

Friends have come and gone
Some stood beside me
Others have vanished indeed;
I bargained for the twist of fate
Almost fell down in despair.

Though strangers would see me
as if happy and free,
They will never know
The heartaches that bruised my senses;
The wounds were all hidden
Only the Lord knows the pain
That runs through my veins.

Where the key of broken dreams are kept?
Locked them up in one corner of my wounded heart;
When it will be free? I'll never know;
Though it pained me to believe
And my heart to weary to care
Faith is my armour, Hope shall be my guiding light.

After all, the pain endured
Will be a badge of courage
And the wounds would heal in time
For within the silence of my heart,
For whatever reason there may be;
One thing is certain...

While everything else have come to pass
And I still hold the power to believe
That I shall stand the test of time
Then it will be; time to heal,
And life will be what I want it to be.

I wish you Love

How was I to know?
What you really mean to me?
For I'd only known you to be
What a friend you are to me?

When you came I never bothered
to welcome your presence
Comin'and goin' I never did care;
All I know is that you were there
When I needed someone to fill in the silence.

With some silly words and thoughtless actions,
We drifted apart;
For words that was not uttered
Walls between us gathered

So you chose to go away
And end it all that way;
You never did realized
That you just hurt me as much
When you'd left without goodbye.

There are so many things I want to tell you now;
I just don't know how it would reach you now
And it saddens me to know
That you are out there somewhere so far away;
But if I could reach you someway
This heart beats loud out now
Hopin' it could get to you somehow.

No matter how far you might possibly be
Please remember me;
As you gather moments of yesterday,
And if it's true that the heart never forgets
Only reminisce me is the least I can wish,
Maybe in time we'll have the chance.

Till then, this heart wants you to know,
I wish you well...
But most of all... I wish you love.

Curtain Call

Dreams of yesterday
Travelled down the edge of time
Tinkering the bells
Playing music for the ears
Beholds a promise of fame.

Lullaby is sung
By a weary little monk
Telling a story
Of a maiden in glory
Blinded by admiration.

Silently it came
A glory with bitter end
Fame turned into shame
Remorse with all due intent
Relieves it's guilty conscience.
